Randy Lee

Randy Lee, M.D. is an Aviation Medical Examiner, Private Pilot, Private Glider Pilot, and Tow Pilot, as well as a dedicated flying club member with a strong commitment to the aviation community and operational excellence.

Shane Grieve
Shane is a CFIG, CFII, and MEI, and when he's not flying, he works as a Principal Cloud Security Engineer.

Secretary

Wally Scott

Wally is a Private Glider and Commercial ASEL pilot with over 3,000 hours in gliders and 64 years of soaring experience, reaching altitudes up to 30,000 feet. One of the first 10 people in the world to fly 1,000 km in a glider, he brings deep expertise to the sport. A former high school electronics teacher, Wally now works as a technical marketing engineer in the aerospace and defense industry.

Treasurer

Sheryl Shewell

Sheryl was raised in Soaring as her Father, Marion Griffith, was a soaring competitor.  She spent eight years in accounting and later taught high school until retirement. Since she has retired, she has volunteered for WGC Registration for the Practice in Uvalde in 2023, WGC Registration in Uvalde 2024, 1-26 Nationals Registration 2024, and the Treasurer of Hamilton Soaring Club.  The first time she volunteered for Registration was in 1972 when her Dad, President of SSA at the time, started the SSA Soaring Conventions in Dallas, Texas.

Keaton Muxworthy

Keaton is an experienced aviation professional and G280 TCE/DPE with FlightSafety. He has a diverse background as a Corporate Pilot, Flight Safety Officer, Tow Pilot, and Private Glider Pilot. Known for his commitment to safety and training excellence, Keston brings a well-rounded perspective to both powered and unpowered flight operations.

Gary Evans

Gary is a seasoned United Airlines Pilot with a lifelong passion for aviation. He began flying gliders at age 13 and has since built a diverse flying background that includes experience as a Tow Pilot and Glider Pilot. Gary's deep-rooted knowledge of both commercial and recreational aviation reflects his dedication to precision, safety, and the art of flight.

Stephen Schwartz

Stephen is a FedEx Captain and retired USAF pilot with a distinguished career in both military and commercial aviation. He is also a Commercial Glider Pilot who enjoys flying recreationally. A loving husband to Wendy, Stephen is known for his professionalism, dedication to aviation, and deep commitment to both his career and family.

Vic Barber

Vic Barber is a 737 Instructor/Evaluator Captain at American Airlines and a Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) for single-engine, multi-engine airplanes, and gliders.

Neil Muxworthy

Neil began soaring at age 13 and earned SSA Diamond Badge #179 by the age of 16—a remarkable early achievement in the glider community. He went on to enjoy a nearly 40-year career with Delta Air Lines, retiring as a Captain and Check Airman. Neil’s lifelong passion for aviation is matched by his depth of experience and commitment to excellence in flight.

Tim Talley

Tim Talley is an experienced A&P and IA Mechanic/Inspector, as well as a certified Single- and Multi-Engine Instrument-Rated Pilot. He is the owner of Clifton Aero LLC, which he founded in 1983. With decades of hands-on expertise, Tim is known for his commitment to quality, safety, and excellence in both aircraft maintenance and flight operations.
